Try New Recipes.............

Last year I was ambitious. I got rid of something using freecycle every day. This year my plan is weekly - and not freecycling, but cooking a new recipe. I'll post the recipe with my thoughts on it. This is nothing too creative, but I want to try some new recipes - and this might keep me on track!
Please keep in mind that if you want to follow this new blog... On the whole, these recipes won't be anything earth shattering - nothing too fancy - nothing too adventurous. Just day to day recipes that a family (or at least some of the family) might enjoy. I'd love your suggestions of recipes - and if you try the recipe or think it sounds yummy, please let me know that as well!

At minimum, I pledge to try new recipes and publish some of my trusted favorite recipes.

Baby bottle brushes

And, today I posted 2 baby bottle brushes. For some reason, these did not work ergonomically for me. So, they need a new home!

Funny............

Funny that now that I don't "have" to post it is easier. I got rid of 4 items today!! A George Forman grill, 2 DVDs and a cake pan. All gone!!!!!!!!

One sad story - someone took the grill that I had not given it to. The real "taker" was not happy it was already gone. Not much I can do - but I am sure they've got some yucky karma coming their way!

I did it!

I did it! I posted something for every day in 2009. Maybe the post did not hit on the exact date, but every date was covered. And, there is still so much to get rid of!!! I'll finish up the taken/flop in the next day or so. But, I am tired. And, in 11 minutes it will be 2010! That's exciting.

PS - thanks to Dave for helping me find things when I couldn't or was too tired or not in the mood. He definitely helped me stay on track!

Day 367 - Hannah Montana Guitar

Today I am offering a Hannah Montana plastic guitar. It plays a few songs - and has volume control!!! But, it is so annoying!!! Can't have it here!!

Day 366 - Plastic Tow Truck

Today I am offering a good size plastic car - a little boys dream. White - I think it is a tow truck. This was in a big bag of toys given to me by a friend. My girls have no interest. My boy is too little!

Day 365 - Vasoline - 7 TUBES!

Well, obviously somewhere along the line I messed up my numbering of days! Oh well, I'll go by the date... 3 more days!!

Today I am offering 7 tubes of Vaseline!!! That's right, somehow we have 7 tubes of it!!!

Day 364 - Electric Toothbrush

Okay - this grosses me out. But, Dave said to do it. And, my friend Jen agreed.

Today I am offering a used Braun electric toothbrush. You buy the head and it should be sanitary.

Day 363 - USB Hub

Today I am offering a D-Link DSB-H4 USB Hub. I have no idea what most of that means! But, someone else might and might like it!!

Day 362 - Canvas Bag

Today I am offering a green canvas bag with a red strap. Has holly, red berries and a pretty bird sewn in it. Maybe 18 inches wide and 12 inches long. Brand new. I got it from a grab bag at this Christmas. Nice, just not my style and not something I need.

Day 361 - Book - Home Cooking the Costco Way

Today I am offering a cookbook - Home Cooking the Costco Way. It was given out when I left the store a few weeks ago. It has recipes on how to doctor up Costco items. Brand spankin new!

Day 360 - Cookbook - The New Irish Table

Today I am offering a cookbook - The New Irish Table. I don't know where I got it from, but I don't use it and don't need it - like most other things in my house right now!!

Day 359 - Everyday Food

Today I am offering about 10 Everyday Food magazines by Martha Stewart. I have so many cookbooks and just don't ever look through these.

Day 358 - Pictures

Today I am offering three pictures. I think they'd go best in a little girls bedroom...

One has a young girl in the corner (having a time out) with her dog.

The other has a girl having breakfast and saying a prayer in bed with her dog and cat. Both go together very nicely.

And, there is a third framed piece - "All I need to know I learned from my guardian angel."

Day 357 - Christmas Decorations

Today I am offering a Christmas cookie tin, snowman candle stick and stocking. Again, too much Christmas stuff in the house!

Day 356 - Glass Snowmen

Today I am offering 2 nice glass snowmen. We just have so many Christmas decorations!! Please, someone take them!!!

Day 355 - Mederma Cream

Today I am offering a bottle of Mederma scar cream. I just had stitches out and figured it would be good to use. The dermatologist said to use Aquaphor - way cheaper! Too bad I opened my package! Now, it'll go to someone else who I am sure can use it!

Day 354 - Rotiseree

Today I am offering a Ronco Rotiseree. We bought it from an infomercial - and used it several times. But, we've not used it in the 28 months we've lived here - and that's long enough. I hope my husband is not mad I am getting rid of this!!!

Day 353 - Crib Sheets

Today I am offering all kinds of girly crib sheets! No need for them in my house!! I hope they go, or they'll be donated - which is not a bad alternative.

Day 352 - Curious George DVD

Today I am offering a brand new Curious George DVD. We already have 2 copies of this show - the same person gave us all 3 copies!! We're keeping one, giving one to my mom and trying to get rid of the other!
