Day 298 - Norelco Razor

Today I am offering a men's Norelco Razor. It no longer holds a good charge - which is why we had to replace it. But, it works just fine. This might be a tough one to unload - but hopefully someone might have a use for it.

Day 296 - Bag of cars

Today I am freecycling a bag of toy cars - maybe 20 or so. I am sure any kid (probably a boy) would love them!! My girls are not so lucky! We have enough toys - and I am feeling a little grinchy.

Day 295 - Book - Skipping Christmas

Today I am offering a John Grisham book - Skipping Christmas. Super easy read - not a work of art, but somewhat entertaining. I might be jumping the gun on Christmas - I hope it goes.

Day 294 - Hand Knit Pink Blankets

Today I am offering 2 bright pink blankets. I believe they were hand knit or maybe crocheted. They are both in good condition - I am sure a little girl would love to play with them! Problem is ... we already have way too many blankets in our house!!

Okay - the fact this book has been promised is a bit of a surprise - but I am glad it will go to someone who might actually read it!

Not surprised to report the book has been taken. I was surprised I only had 2 responses, but I think most of America has read the book. At least it is taken!

Today I am offering the book The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. Dave was the reader of this book - and I think just about everyone has read the book! He read all 3 of Gladwell's books - and this was his least favorite. And, yet somehow we have 2 copies in the house!! Dave is only willing to part with one - but is at least taking the other to work where it can collect dust on a shelf......

Today I am offering a book neither of us have touhed - Brother Astronomer - Adventures of a Vatican Scientist. If you follow my blog, you know who gave it to us! I should say Dave. Nobody would ever give me a book like this. They just know I would never ever read it!!!

Today I am offering one of Dave's old textbooks - Stats for Business & Economics. Thankfully I never had to use this book - not my strong suit! I did take a stats class in college and worked my tail off - and my grade was still not impressive. But, I tried!! Maybe I should keep the book - I think not.

Today I am offering a book from Dave's collection - 10 Insider Secrests to Job Hunting. I think he used this when looking for a job a few years ago. We'll he is happy in his job, so I don't think we need it any longer. Again, I think this one will be a welcome addition to someones reading materials.

Day 289 - Book - Women For Hire

Today I am offering a nice softcover book - Women for Hire. I don't really know when or where I got this book - I have not been in the job market in a while! But, it is not super old - and is in good condition. I hope it helps someone find a precious job!!

Why on earth would we have 2 - especially since we never even watch movies at home? I think I should be freecycling both. But, that might get his goat - and we don't want that. Not tonight anyway...

Today I am offering a hardcover book in excellent condition - Business at the Speed of Thought by Bill Gates. Not sure where we got this - probably though work or something. I never read it - maybe Dave did???

Gates offers a 12-step program for companies wanting to do business in the next millennium. The book's premise: Thanks to technology, the speed of business is accelerating at an ever-increasing rate, and to survive, it must develop an infrastructure--a "digital nervous system"--that allows for the unfettered movement of information inside a company. Gates writes that "The most meaningful way to differentiate your company from your competition ... is to do an outstanding job with information. Today I am offering a nice hardcover book - Now Discover Your Strengths by Marcus Buckingham. Read once or twice - plenty of life left in it!!

Day 285 - Tuesdays with Morrie

Today I am offering a great book - Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. It is on tape - talk about old! Several years ago my husband and I listened to it on a road trip and really enjoyed it!!
