Day 335 - New Mittens - GONE!

I wish I had smaller hands, because these were nice! I am sure they'll be regifted - which I think is nice!!

Today I am offering a brand new pair of super nice winter mittens. Got these as a gift last year, but could not return. I don't wear them because they are very bulky - but very nice!! Maybe I should have kept them for a grab bag gift!

Day 229 - Girls Tights

Today I am offering 2 pairs of Old Navy tights. They were in a lot of clothes given to my girls a few months ago. They are in great shape - just not my style. But, I am sure someone will be more than happy to have them for their kid. We'll see!

The belts have been taken. Hopefully they don't continue to shrink on the next person.

Today I am offering 4 mens belts. 2 are dressier - maybe for khaki pants and 2 are more casual. Belts are size 34 and 36 - but the 36 runs small - so says Dave. Not sure how a belt can run small... But, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the smurfs made it and they use smaller rulers??

Day 200 - Maternity Pants

Today is day 200!!! That seems like a big accomplishment!

Today I am offering 3 pairs of maternity pants. 2 are work type black pants from the Gap and one is just a plain navy sweat pant. They were given to me with lots of other maternity clothes, but they are a bit snug. So, another belly they shall cover.

I am sure they will go quickly!

Today I am offering a cute girls jacket. It is pink with flowers... and Dora! That's right - she is in my house for another night. I got this from a friend at my twins club. She did not need it any longer and I did not have the heart to say no. My girls have not even worn it - it is in great condition! Let's hope it goes!

Day 73 - Men's Shoes - GONE!

Day 73 - Men's Shoes

Today I am offering a paid of men's shoes - my husband's shoes. Therefore, I must turn to Dave to finish the post.

A handful of years ago, Nancy was very nice and bought be a pair of shoes. I appreciated the idea but I never really liked them. I feel that shoes are such a personal item I don't think buying shoes for someone else is a good idea (unless you are buying shoes for a small kid).

I've resisted getting rid of them because I didn't want to hurt Nancy's feeling but I didn't want to wear them so they've been sitting in my closet for years.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with these shoes and I think they've only been worn twice at the most. It will be interesting to see if anybody wants to take a pair of shoes but I guarantee they are "like new" and in great condition. I'm glad to have them out of the closet and glad to have cleared the air with my wife. Phew... I feel better now. :)

Day 43 - Mint Green Turkish Bathrobe - GONE!

I'm not surprised this one is gone!! I am so happy to read peoples comments and ideas. It reminds me that people do actually read this thing!!

Day 43 - Mint Green Turkish Bathrobe

This was a Christmas present - and it was so kind and generous. But, I don't wear robes and really just don't need it. I am hoping someone else will get great use from it!! Today, I am offering a: women's size large mint green Turkish cotton bath robe.

These might be the hardest things to post - gifts. It really is making me second guess what gifts to give others - what will they really want or need or use! I have a good friend who swears by "the gift that goes away." That means you use the gift and then it is gone - some ideas are: a candle, gift certificate, notepaper, food, etc. I'm thinking this might be something I take more to heart.

And, as I am typing my husband said a good gift can be an experience - weather through a gift certificate or not. The ability to experience something and make a memory can be far more appreciated than the tangible.

Day 15 - Furry Burgandy Fasion Scarf - GONE!

Yeah - someone took the scarf!! I actually only had one taker - that's a low number compared to most days. I think it was my inability to describe it well. I am sure whomever got it will like it - and look way cooler than I could have.

Do you have anything in your closet that is just a little too "cool" for you to wear?? Well, I have a super cool scarf - a little too cool for me. Today I am offering: a very cute and stylish burgundy scarf. It is super soft and furry (I am sure it is not real fur). Looks like a bunch of burgundy fur balls are knitted together. Okay, I know this is a horrible description, but I don't know how else to put it. I am afraid the bad description might lead to no takers. If so, I am sure one of my friends will love it!! We'll see.

Day 14 - Demin Jacket w/ Fur Detail

Today I am offering a denim jacket lined with fake black fur. The "fur" makes it warm and looks fancy because you can see the trim on the collar, cuffs and button-line. This is a jacket I bought a few years ago and when I bought it, I loved it! But, when it arrived, I just could not really pull it off and returning it got away from me. I really do think it is cute and stylish - but by now it would also be too snug. We'll see how this one goes - a photo would make it much easier to understand, as the description might not really "show" what it looks like.

We'll see!

Day 13 - Mens Black Carhartt Jacket - GONE!

That did not take long. Within 10 minutes I had several people wanting the jacket - perfect!! It went to a woman who is going to let me borrow some canning cook-books - what a great trade!!

Today I am offering: a barely worn black mens Carhartt jacket size XL Tall. It is a somewhat heavy jacket (fall/spring weather) with a hood and pockets. This is a great jacket for a guy (or I guess a woman) to wear outside when doing yard work or that kind of thing.

Dave's parents live in a small country town on the way toward Rockford. They have 28 acres and there is a lot of brush and other work to maintain the property. Several years ago we spent so many weekends out there helping cut down trees and getting everything as nice as possible. Toward the end Dave's dad got him this jacket. Coincidentally, it was toward the end of the fall season and that spring we just were not there as much helping work the land. It has been packed and unpacked through 2 moves and we are finally ready to pass it on to another.
