Day 7 - Books: Who Moved My Cheese & Managing Transitions - GONE!

And, the books are gone!! They are going to a library - which makes me happy. They will live on for a long time!

I am still amazed at how quickly these items are moving! Everything is just flying off the shelf! Yeah!! Maybe I'll have a clean basement soon! Once can dream.

I love your idea of freecycling something every day. It's like "Pay It Forward," (book by Catherine Ryan Hyde) giving freely without the expectation of being paid back, but expecting that the recipient will give freely to someone else.

These books will be converted into accessible text, so that those with vision or other print disabilities (like LD, ADHD, etc.) can read them with their computer. The Winnetka-Northfield Rotary Literacy committee has lent technology to the Winnetka Library (main branch) so that patrons can scan books into accessible text, can read books with ESL dictionary assistance, and can browse the Internet with a screen reader. For more information, their literacy blog is found at http://www.winnetkarotaryliteracyprojects.blogspot.com or http://tinyurl.com/8qzcd3 (tiny url is a shortcut link to the literacy project blog)
